If you've read my "all about me blog", then it's safe to say I am a proud Buffalonian. Nestled in between the Great Lakes and located in Western New York, Buffalo has a lot to offer. With the ongoing pandemic I have had the opportunity to discover even more hidden gems within this unique region. For those that want a breakdown of what to see or do, allow me to introduce you to "stepoutbuffalo.com." The primary focus of the blog is a guide to local sceneries, restaurants and activities within the Buffalo, NY region.  The website showcases the best things to do.  The homepage features a bright cheerful aesthetic that immediately pulls the reader in.  With photos of Buffalo and easy to read link titles anyone can navigate it.  The top header has, “Things to do, Food & drink, Music & Nightlife etc."  When clicked on, these tabs take the reader to a simple breakdown of what each of these categories offer.  For example, if I were to click on “Food & drink” I am taken to a modern slick page.  This page highlights some of the well known and best rated places to eat in WNY.  This area also has the contact info if you would like to make a reservation or inquire on a specific question.  Each post has photos to correspond with the caption.  In my opinion a visual representation helps give the reader a better look at what to expect especially if they are choosing to go there.  They know what it looks like ahead of time.   I also noticed that the blog is up to date.  They feature things that we can expect to arrive in the following months.  Such as, new restaurants, activities and upcoming sport events. In regards to engaging with their audience, the blog posts quite often on their other social media platforms. The very top header bar on the homepage has hyperlinks which takes the reader to their, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram page. All of these platforms post regularly on a daily basis.  Their Facebook has an astounding 86,829 followers.  Their twitter has 16.1k followers, and finally their instagram has 73.7k followers. Links to their website and other Buffalo related activities are found on their socials.  As a local of Buffalo I’m so happy to have found this blog.  I have many family members that visit from Puerto Rico and Florida throughout the year.  Having this resource serves them purpose in case there is something they want to do or see. Also, with the restrictions still in place in some areas due to COVID, you can visit the site to plan out what you want to do once we can all go out again. The overall blog has positive vibes which will make any Buffalonian or visitor proud to be in this great city.
