 New York State is home to some of the most iconic landmarks;  from the Statue of Liberty, to the peaks of the Adirondacks to the gushing Falls of Niagara.  However, some tend to overlook the beauty of the Queen City, Buffalo, NY.  With the second most populated city in NYS, Buffalo is a place to visit and discover.  Here are some free and affordable things to do around town during the pandemic.  With many indoor public facilities closed you can take this opportunity to take a stroll around Delaware Park and Hoyt Lake.  With proper mask wearing and social distancing there is nothing wrong with getting some fresh air.  Delaware Park is near the zoo and offers over 200 acres of land.  Speaking of the zoo for just $90 you can buy a membership that will allow you to visit whenever the zoo is open.  Canalside located in Downtown also offers the ability to walk around and with activities like free music, and even a daily light show projected on the grain elevators at night makes for a picturesque outing.  For those that seek a more relaxing environment, the Basilica, located in South Buffalo, is open for people to gaze at its architecture.  It's lined with statues and intricately carved stations of the cross.  The things mentioned above are just a sampling of the many things Buffalo, NY offers.  What are you waiting for, go out and explore Buffalo, New York.  Don’t forget to wear your Buffalo pride mask.
